Cicilia Meyza: dari Grobogan ke Kudus
Cicilia Meyza Zipara, 16 tahun,怎么会 residents Kabupaten Grobogan, came to the starting line carrying a different kind of motivation. She had seen trash scattered along the trail and decided to act.
Right after crossing the finish line, she collected refreshment. Banana fruit and mineral water. She refused to throw the packaging away immediately.
“I exchanged two banana peels, two used mineral water bottles, and one ice cream wrapper,” she said.
Rather than handing them to staff, she walked to the provided bins and sorted them by category herself. Banana peels went to organic. Bottles went to anorganic. The wrapper had its own designated container.
She also picked up several pieces of litter thrown carelessly around the race route.
Alasan di Balik Kebiasaan Baru
Cicilia admitted she feels uneasy whenever she sees garbage strewn across the ground. That discomfort pushed her to invite others to care more about the environment.
Her simple belief: small actions matter. Picking up trash and putting it in the right container can protect the surroundings.
“Hopefully it can prevent floods and keep the environment clean, comfortable, and beautiful to look at,” she explained.
That belief paid off. She walked away with a tumbler and a sticker.
Kolaborasi internalized Gets Gen Z
Naelul Author, 23, showed a similar attitude. He spent time near the separated bins, sorting waste that participants left behind during the run.
The presence of young people in the sorting station is not accidental. Environment campaigns now rarely speak in long lectures. Instead, they offer something participants actually want.
A tumbler, a tote bag, a lunch box, a sticker. Objects with daily use value, exchanged for actions with lasting impact.
Minutes after the campaign started, the booth was crowded. Even before UTMM participants reached the finish line, some had already stopped to deposit their bottles.
